An author visits a man named Pi to hear his story. It is about a boy who ends up in a lifeboat together with a zebra, an orangutan, a hyena and a tiger and his survival on the sea. 

i believe the movie should have been good if it wasn't for the long introduction before the real story started. The nature is amzing and so ais the storyline. I havn't read the book yet, but I predict it to be much better then the movie. Beacuse of the beautiful message of the film I give it 3 out of 5 stars.

If you feel like you want to se a fantasy novel with a twist, this is the right movie for  you!!
